Smart Panel Keeps Close Track of Fischer Panda Generator's Performance

MIAMI BEACH, FL-- FEBRUARY 17-21, 2006– Boat manufacturers, dealers and ultimately consumers can now expect a technologically enhanced generator series from Fischer Panda Generators in the U.S. The generators will feature a remote "smart panel" diagnostic system that will continuously monitor performance, alerting captains and owners to general maintenance, adjustment and troubleshooting issues.

The Digital Control Panel will be shipped as standard equipment on all Fischer Panda generators, ranging from 8 kW to 22 kW generators, according to Chad Godwin, Director of Sales.

Multiple panels can be installed easily via a network cable. The multiple stations will provide the ability to read all performance sensors and make a quick and efficient diagnostic check from various onboard locations.

Built-in sensors, according to Godwin, can monitor fuel levels and performance, seawater temperatures (both in and out), hour/frequency/amp readings, and even an interval reminder to change the oil. An audible fault alarm is also built into the system.

Godwin said several manufacturers are currently installing the new digital control panels for soon-to-be-released models, including Catalina, Intrepid, Hunter Marine, Pearson Composites, Hinckley Yachts and Grady White.

"Better security and better performance is the bi-product of this new monitoring system," said Godwin. "Captains, crew and owners now have a quick and effective way to keep systems running smoothly."

Known for building the smallest, lightest, quietest and most efficient marine diesel generators in the world, Fischer Panda continues to employ that cutting-edge German engineering to produce what many consider to be the most advanced generators ever produced.

Fischer Panda manufactures the only true 100% water-cooled asynchronous marine generators on the market. Due to the unique design of the asynchronous rotor, no windings, brushes or diodes are employed, making for a more efficient and smoother running electric plant.

Fischer Panda has played a pioneering role in the design and manufacture of marine and vehicle generators for the past 27 years. In 1978 in Germany, Fischer Generators developed the quietest diesel generator in the world. That trend towards small, quiet and super efficiency was to continue, and in 1988, Fischer Generators added "Panda" to its brand and introduced its proprietary and water-cooled asynchronous electric plant.

Fischer Panda U.S., which began operations in 1995, is located at 4345 NE 12 Terrace in Oakland Park, Florida. For more information, please call 954-462-2800 or access the company's web site at www.fischerpanda.com.
